Concert posters for The Resonants
This collection is all the posters I have designed since 2006 for Canberra choir The Resonants, directed by Helen Swan. They are the best clients a designer could hope for—I often get to write my own design brief including being able to influence the title and copy, and they usually love my first concept. Designed out of my love of choral singing rather than for monetary reward, these posters have been a platform for trying out ideas, testing techniques, and a chance to have some fun with design. Mostly the artwork is my own original illustration and photography although sometimes I purchase stock images such as the red rose for the Swoon poster. They have been created variously in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and also by hand. Mostly they have been printed professionally but occasionally the budget has been tight so I design in black to print on coloured paper, such as the Sing a Song of Christmas poster. Enjoy!
